LIFE is beautiful and boy do I love life. I love meeting people, investing, and growing. People say that I am a bit of a hippie, and a lot of a dreamer, but really I am just a doer and a celebrator of all that is! In 2008 when I least expected it I met and fell in love with the man of my life/partner in crime (my husband now) and jumped into a not-for-profit humanitarian project (KORAKOR) that would turn out to be everything I could ever want and then some. This was the moment that my life came into focus and all the dots connected. With this new direction, clearer vision and driving force pushing us forward, I let go and followed my heart and it has brought us to where we are today (building a Holistic Community Center in the foothills of Oaxaca, Mexico)! I guess you could say that my ‘job’ requires me to find the beauty in pretty much everything! Thank goodness! I stop to smell the flowers, and stop when I see someone or something in need, occupational hazard of caring and taking the time to live. I met the Holstee family and team in 2009 during this whole whirlwind of events and changes and immediately fell in love, it is no big surprise that the Manifesto reaffirms mine and our belief systems and completely coincides with what we do at KORAKOR. It is like the post-it on the bathroom mirror reminding me to live. Now that this Manifesto has spread, it has become another tool for us to share and remind people to embrace life fully…and it looks like it is surely working! I guess you could definitely say life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them! Just look around…I am another living example! Signed small time world-kindness maker by day, low key hedonist nights & weekends.

Our Themes

Distilled from our Manifesto, positive psychology, the science of mindfulness, and ancient philosophic studies we have identified twelve themes core to living both fully and mindfully. We mapped these twelve themes to each of the twelve months in a year. Together with our community we explore one each month.
